Master Class: Copyright Registration From Start to Finish

While your copyright exists from the moment a picture is made, there are benefits to registering your copyright. Your work will have greater protection if you adopt regular registration habits as a part of your workflow.

In this workshop, we will walk through the steps of registering your copyright. You will need to bring with you your laptop with photo editing software, your credit card (the copyright office charges $55), a collection of published images that were all published in the same year, a list of when those images were first published, (that were all published in the same year).

You will leave this workshop with an account with the copyright office, a group of registered work, and a plan for continuing to register when you get home.
