Erin Schaff

Born in New York City and raised in Red Hook, N.Y., Erin Schaff joined The New York Times as a Washington, D.C. staff photographer in 2019.

Prior to that, Erin had been regularly covering Capitol Hill for The Times and various other news outlets.

Her work has been recognized by the White House News Photographers Association, NPPA, and Time Top 10 photos of 2021 among others.

Erin studied political science and women’s and gender studies at Kenyon College.
