Madeline Marshall
Madeline Marshall is a senior video journalist at The Wall Street Journal where she produces explainer videos on U.S. policy, politics, and the economy. She writes, produces, edits, shoots, and animates her own videos primarily for a YouTube audience. She previously worked at Vox, where she produced numerous explainers on energy, elections, U.S. policy, and the coronavirus. Her service-journalism work has been shown internationally and used as guidance by public health officials. Prior to Vox, Madeline also previously worked at The Wall Street Journal where she coordinated video coverage from Washington, producing presidential interviews, mini-documentaries, breaking news, and 360 virtual reality stories. In her past lives, she was also a freelance still photographer and broadcast producer. She has an undergraduate degree in photojournalism from the Corcoran College of Art + Design and a Masters in multimedia journalism from the University of Maryland. She also teaches visual storytelling at American University.
