Evan Vucci
With a career spanning over two decades, Evan Vucci, the chief photographer for the Associated Press in Washington, D.C., has covered some of the most pivotal moments in modern history, from global conflicts to U.S. politics. He was a key member of the AP team that received the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography for their coverage of the protests and aftermath following the death of George Floyd. His documentary video work has been awarded a National Edward R. Murrow Award for coverage of a platoon of American soldiers and their families during a 15-month combat tour in Mosul, Iraq.
A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology (2000), Vucci’s assignments have taken him around the world, but his primary focus now centers on political coverage in the United States.
