Jennifer S. Altman

Jennifer S. Altman is an award-winning photojournalist who specializes in editorial reportage, environmental and celebrity portraiture and corporate and commercial assignments. Her clients include The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, Washington Post, USA Today, United Nations, Business Week, American Express and MetLife, and her work has been published in numerous other domestic and international publications and corporations.
She is an Adjunct Professor of Photojournalism at New York University, The School of the New York Times, Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and other universities where she teaches photojournalism and video journalism classes and develops specialty workshops on portraiture, lighting, photo editing, and portfolio and website building.
Jennifer is a mentor and multimedia producer for long-term visual narrative projects. Altman is a photo editor who worked on special projects with NATO, UNICEF, the Associated Press and several newspapers. She serves on the board of trustees for the New York Press Photographer’s Association.
Her work is on permanent display at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, The NYC Police Museum, and has been shown in many other galleries and exhibits.
