Julius Constantine Motal

Julius Constantine Motal is a photographer, photo editor, and writer based in New York. He is currently a photo editor at The Guardian.

Previously, he worked as a photo editor for NBC News and served as chief photographer for The Riverdale Press. His photography has appeared in publications such as the Associated Press, EPA Images, and New York magazine, among others.

Motal began his career in photojournalism a decade ago in Turkey and Greece after earning a master’s degree in journalism from CUNY in 2014. He later attended the Eddie Adams Workshop in 2018.
