Nickolai Hammar
Nickolai Hammar is a video producer at NPR, based in New York City. He has spent the past three years growing with a new and constantly evolving video team, helping to shape what video at a historically audio-based news organization would look like.
Nickolai got his start with NPR Music, primarily working on live concert captures as well as directing video and engineering audio for an unvarnished, late-night performance series called Night Owl.
He has since shifted toward news feature and editorial work for NPR and has used his experience recording musicians as a foundation for how to approach marrying audio and video production.
