Tyrone Turner

Tyrone Turner is the visuals editor and photojournalist with WAMU, the NPR member station in Washington, DC, and a regular contributor to NPR. His work has focused on stories of community that explore the interaction of humans and the environment as well as the nature of grief and trauma. Besides his work in public media, he has worked with entities such as National Geographic Magazine, The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the CDC. His work has been featured by Visa Pour l’Image, The Virginia Museum of Fine Art, Poyi, and the Best of Photojournalism.
