Will Yurman

Will Yurman is a photographer, multimedia creator and educator. He has worked as a photojournalist for more than 30 years in locations ranging from Jerusalem to Juneau, Alaska.

He began to explore multimedia storytelling as newspapers moved to the web, combining audio with images, and creating interactives and short documentaries.

His journalism work has been recognized by the NPPA’s Best of Photojournalism competition and the Pictures of the Year International competition, and his short films have won awards in multiple film festivals.

He was a professor of journalism at Penn State for more than ten years and recently moved to Oregon where he teaches in the journalism program at the University of Oregon and is the director of the Journalism Master’s Program.
